As part of an official working visit to the Republic of Austria, on 25 June 2026, a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Viet Nam, led by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Lam, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, visited the headquarters and manufacturing facilities of Rosenbauer Group—the world’s leading manufacturer of firefighting vehicles, equipment, and technological solutions for fire prevention, firefighting, rescue, and civil protection—and held working discussions with the company’s leadership.
The delegation also included Major General Duong Duc Hai, Director General of the Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue Police Department (C07); representatives of the Department of External Relations (V02); and officials from several departments and functional units under the Ministry of Public Security.

Dr. Vu Le Thai Hoang, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Viet Nam to the Republic of Austria; together with the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security delegation, toured Rosenbauer Group’s manufacturing facilities in Austria.
During the meeting, Rosenbauer’s leadership presented an overview of the company’s development, research and manufacturing capabilities, and advanced technological solutions currently deployed worldwide in the fields of fire prevention, firefighting, rescue operations, and civil protection. The two sides held in-depth discussions on a range of modern technologies, including firefighting solutions for super high-rise buildings, suppression systems for lithium-ion battery fires, AI-enabled digital incident command platforms, solutions for underground infrastructure, intelligent automatic firefighting systems, and specialized vehicles designed for complex emergency response operations.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for both sides to review the outcomes of previous cooperation, particularly Official Development Assistance (ODA) projects between the Governments of Viet Nam and Austria in the field of fire prevention and firefighting, while exchanging views on future directions for collaboration. Key areas of interest included digital transformation in force management and operations, professional training and capacity building for commanding officers, and the development of new cooperation programmes to support the modernization of Viet Nam’s Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue Police Force.
The delegation also toured and examined Rosenbauer’s latest generation of modern firefighting and rescue vehicles.
The visit and working session contributed to strengthening cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Viet Nam and Rosenbauer Group, while creating new opportunities for experience sharing and access to cutting-edge technologies in fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue operations. The cooperation is expected to support the continued modernization of Viet Nam’s Fire Prevention, Firefighting and Rescue Police Force, enabling it to meet the increasingly demanding requirements for ensuring national security and public safety in the new context.
