Having set up in 1982 in Vaiges, Mayenne, Nautiraid took up where Jean Chauveau left off, continuing the business started in 1936. Our long history makes us the oldest French kayak manufacturer still operating.
Nautiraid’s expertise combines two trades: carpentry for the frames and dressmaking for the skins. The shipyard, bought in 2006 by Eric and Véronique Flambard, stands out from the competition with the quality of its joinery, the remarkable tension of its skins and the robustness of its boats over time.
